Andrew G. Delgado, JMCS Foundation Board President
Andrew G. Delgado has been affiliated with the John Muir Charter Schools (JMCS) since 2002; as a partner agency serving as a JMCS campus for its YouthBuild participants and as an advocate and supporter of providing leadership and educational services to the underserved young adults in the Los Angeles area and throughout California. Delgado currently serves as an organizational consultant and coach for executives and senior management of various nonprofits in the Southern California area. Since 1987, Delgado has been actively engaged in the development and administration of programs that positively impacted the education, employment and general well-being of the underserved, low income communities of Los Angeles County. With the start of CCEO’s YouthBuild program in 1994, Delgado has been very involved with the
YouthBuild movement; holding various leadership positions with the Los
Angeles YouthBuild Collaborative, the California YouthBuild Coalition and the
National Directors Association. In 2011, Andy was recognized as the
YouthBuild Director of the Year by YouthBuild USA. Andy received an MBA
from UCLA and graduated from San Jose State College with a Bachelors
degree in marketing and industrial relations.
Cristina Dickason, JMCS Foundation Board Secretary
Cristina Dickason has proudly served John Muir Charter Schools for the last eight (8) years and is currently the Site Coordinator for Operation New Hope- John Muir Charter Schools and the John Muir Charter Schools Foundation Board Secretary. She is a Teacher - Mentor for the California Teacher Induction Program through Sacramento County of Education and a member of the John Muir Teacher Advisory Committee (TAC). Prior to joining the team at John Muir Charter School, Ms. Dickason served as a Teacher and Lead Teacher, she worked at a traditional high school setting as an English Teacher with the Pomona Unified School District and then as an online Teacher/Program Coordinator for an animation mentoring program. She has served in education for over 13 years passionately guiding students to reach their full academic potential. Her ultimate goal is to help mold well-rounded young adults attain and surpass their educational goals, discover their career pathways and ultimately give back to their communities
Steven Aaron Scholl, JMCS Foundation Board Member
Aaron Scholl is an
educator from Los Angeles, CA. He is passionate about serving marginalized youth and specializes in unleashing the positive potential of Transitional-Aged Youth (TAY) into young leaders. Aaron is currently the Community Resource Coordinator at John Muir Charter Schools. Formerly, he served as Assistant Principal for YouthBuild Charter School of CA and Adjunct Faculty at LA Trade Tech College. He also co-founded a scholarship program for high school graduates. He has a B.A. in Math Education from UC Santa Cruz, and a M.A. and Admin. Credential from UCLA.
