What We Do
The John Muir Charter Schools (JMCS) Foundation is a philanthropic organization focusing its efforts on furthering the educational opportunities for the thousands of current students and graduates that attend our 35 campus sites throughout California. The JMCS Foundation is governed and operated by a volunteer board of directors who are dedicated to the following mission:
To acquire and provide resources to support and strengthen students’ potential for success now and in the future through individual contributions, community and business partnerships and targeted grants.
Founded in 2016, the JMCS Foundation is a distinct 501(c)(3) public benefit corporation dedicated to supporting the goals, mission, and outcomes of John Muir Charter Schools. All funds raised by the JMCS Foundation are dedicated to JMCS students and graduates - our foundation does not pay or provide stipends to any staff or board members.
Through the efforts of our Foundation, we seek to empower and advance the young people of our low-income communities so that they can further their educational opportunities and achieve their highest aspirations.
The JMCS Foundation is here to serve you and provide scholarship assistance in the most impactful way possible.
